What does your role at LAKE involve?
Ensuring customers are happy, helping them solve problems and extend and expand their solutions to deliver greater benefits, as well as helping them stay up to date on the latest cloud platforms and product releases.
How long have you been with LAKE and what did you do before you joined?
I joined LAKE in 2018. Before that I was an Customer Success Manager at another software business. I've been in Account management roles since graduating from Aberystwyth University.
What do you enjoy most about the work you do?
I love how no two days are the same. My colleagues are amazing and helpful and I'm always learning. And I really enjoy building relationships with customers, and helping them get more and more value out of their LAKE solutions.
If you had to pick out three achievements or pieces of work that you're particularly proud of from your time at LAKE, what would they be?
My biggest achievements in general are building relationships with clients that have become disengaged over time, or are running old technology. I get huge satisfaction from strengthening relationships with customers and taking them on long-term journeys while advising them about the extensive solutions we implement and support to make their daily work lives easier and more efficient. I feel a real sense of achievement when one of my customers extends their solution or commits to a long-term contract. It's a reflection of the quality of work we do right across the team.
What does your background, experience and knowledge mean for customers?
I hope I have patience and empathy to take customers on a journey that can span many years. And my experience of working with all types of customers from very small to large complex accounts has taught me how to adapt my approach depending on the client's business circumstances and also the personalities involved.
What excites you most when you think about LAKE's future plans and the future of business systems in general?
That we can help customers with their future plans and that we have products that tick all their boxes - it's an exciting time for technology and software and we are there and ready to help.
What do you do when you're not working?
Oh goodness, such a lot! Dog walks, meals out, socialising with friends and family, weekends away, and travelling. I also do voluntary work for Age UK twice a week.
What is one item on your bucket list?
To visit as many new places as possible.
What would your specialist Mastermind subject be?
Anything related to "Friends" the TV show.
