The choice of LAKE as implementation partner was a key factor in the system selection process. LAKE were chosen because of the quality of their approach and understanding of the drinks sector. They will help Holyrood replace Xero with SAP Business One Cloud ERP solution powered by SAP HANA .
Huw Wright, Head of Finance for Holyrood explains:
"Xero is primarily a finance system. That's not to say that you can't bolt on additional modules, but you would have to do a lot of research and sit through a lot of demos to see if it could be adapted for our kind of business. There is also a question mark over its capacity to scale in the way we need it to."
We wanted an ERP product that would fulfil all our requirements without having to bolt on additional modules and would be able to grow with our business. I had worked with SAP Business One before in a similar environment - another drinks company - and knew it could deliver everything we needed."
"But to be sure, we looked at a number of different solutions, including some that specialise in the distillery and warehousing space. None of them gave us the level of comfort or confidence we were looking for. That is, until we met LAKE. They completely smashed it. My distillery manager had initially been against the idea of looking at SAP, but LAKE completely turned that around. We were blown away. In fact, it's fair to say we chose LAKE, actually, much more than we chose a software product."
