XL Precision Technologies streamlines business management with SAP Business One from LAKE

XL Precision Technologies have chosen SAP Business One from LAKE to improve traceability and streamline its business. SAP Business One was chosen because of its excellent fit as an ERP solution for a growing medical supplies manufacturer, and LAKE were chosen for their knowledge and understanding.

Peter Fortescue, Materials and Production Planner, explains:

"We had been looking to implement a new ERP system as Sage manufacturing really isn't up to the demands of a business such as ours. However, the project got put on the back burner as we've grown quite rapidly over the past few years and had other priorities. All that changed when Sage announced they were ending support.

"We wanted an ERP system that was better suited to our line of business, and we wanted the best. All recommendations pointed to SAP and that was borne out by our research. SAP Business One proved to be the best option both in terms of features and value.

"SAP is also allowing us to get rid of all those spreadsheets we had plugging gaps in our Sage solution. The ability to add custom fields in SAP Business One is particularly useful. For example, we have been able to add a box to capture supplementary specification information on our materials purchase orders before they go to our suppliers."

"LAKE are really, really good, and very helpful. They are always there to answer our questions and they are very, very knowledgeable. They overcame a lot of the issues we had with our old system and have highlighted opportunities and addressed issues we hadn't even considered."
